I’m happy to help with a visual summary that I walk you through in person. It helps you remember the content better, and it gives you a great starting point for an insightful conversation.
I’ll gladly come by with my foam board or iPad and draw live while people talk, brainstorm or meet. By the end of the day there’s a complete picture where a few hours earlier there was nothing, and that’s energizing every single time. A drawing shows at a glance what is hard to capture in words alone.
Live drawing is so much fun. And so important. It adds real value to your meeting or event, every time.
Analogue or digital?
While the conversation unfolds, I translate it into visuals at lightning speed. No rough sketches, but a clean style that looks clear and organized right away. Participants literally see the key points take shape on the board, which helps them follow the common thread and remember the outcomes better.
Live drawing boosts engagement and sparks conversation. And it doesn’t stop at the event itself: where needed, I polish the drawing afterwards and present it back to you, ready to share within your organization.
I work both analog and digital, and each has its own charm. On brown paper with sticky notes, the result feels tangible right away, like a working document you can literally keep building on afterwards.
Digitally, on the iPad, the drawing looks more finished: I can work in your brand colors, and the screen can be shared instantly with a large audience in the room. Together, we’ll decide beforehand what suits your meeting best.

Who is Rob?
It all started with comics in Utrecht, my hometown in the Netherlands. I’ve been drawing for over 15 years, and my love of comics still drives everything I make. With my cheerful, colorful style, I’ve filled quite a few comic albums by now.
I was already making visual notes during my studies in Social Work and Social Pedagogy. Drawing helped me remember the information from lectures much better. Later, I discovered I could use it to help companies and organizations too, in brainstorming sessions and as a visual record of meetings. My comic style turned out to be a perfect fit for live drawing: clear lines, recognizable characters and a story that naturally unfolds in images. And I love thinking on my feet. I listen, capture the essence and turn it straight into a drawing everyone can understand.
There’s one thing I always bring from my background: the human factor. Behind every challenge are people. How do you make a challenge concrete? And how do you make the solution so clear that everyone wants to get started right away? I ask these questions on every assignment, whether it’s graphic recording at a conference, a visual story map or a standalone illustration.
As a live illustrator and illustrator, I’ve worked for clients including the City of Utrecht, Ipse de Bruggen, Achmea and CNV.
